Lou Hampers has left his footprints in many countries

In the world of pediatric treatments and pediatric emergency medicine, Lou Hampers has proven to be that one man who has made children his life’s aim. A lot of people do not know why they should become pediatricians. However, Dr. Hampers loves his job and has so much passion for it that he never took his studies at the universities he attended for granted. Today, he is regarded as a pediatric emergency medicine expert by countless families and mothers.A lot of people find it hard to find the best pediatrician for their children. Extending his care to Africa was amazing

Although he was educated in the United States of America, Lou Hampers extended his care to Africa in the years 1995 and 1996. He served as a Medical Officer at one of the churches known as the Presbyterian Church of East Africa Chogoria Hospital, Kenya. During this time, he did so much for the people of Kenya. He cared for many children without receiving payment and did a job that kept him happy and keeps his name in the minds and hearts of many Kenyans even now. That is what being a doctor is all about. You should be able to make a difference in people’s lives. That matters a lot. From Kenya, he came back to the USA and joined the faculty of the University of Colorado School of Medicine right after he finished his sub-specialty study in Chicago. Eventually, in 2007, hewas the Associate Professor. His responsibilities included serving as the Medical Director of the Children’s Hospital of Colorado’s Emergency Department and Section Head of the Section of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Language obstacles in medicine, variance in physician practice patterns, fast-track medicine, urgent care, tropical medicine, drug misuse therapy and febrile seizuresare among his research interests.

Postgraduate training information

From 1996 to 1999, he was a Fellow at Pediatric Emergency Medicine Children’s Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL, and from 1992 to 1995, he completed his residency in Pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. Details about some of his academic appointments include:

1. From 2005 to 2010, he was appointed the Associate Professor of the Pediatrics Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

2. Lou Hampers was appointed the Assistant Professor of Pediatrics Department of Pediatrics at the Universities of Colorado School of Medicine from 1999 to 2004.

3. He was appointed as a Clinical Instructor for the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Medical School.
